    Thermometer reading 95 degrees when its 70?

    So yeah... The thermometer on my 13 button computer is poopin on me.. Any ideas? Any way to check it or even where to get a new sensor if need be? Halp! My car thinks I'm in Mordor! Lol

    Just replace the air temp sensor, should be located under the driver's-side headlamps behind valance. Or thereabouts. www autohausaz.com.

            Don't buy an OEM one - they aren't sealed against the elements - some last 3-4 years, other will last 10 years. It's hit or miss.

            And there are Chinese knock-off on ebay - they are the worst. If you insist on going OEM, forget anything that cost under $40.

            I don't know why, but BMW is really bad at figuring out that you can't seal moisture out of a plastic doo-hicky that flexes and gets hits with rocks all the time. So that's why I sell what I sell. It's slightly more accurate then the OEM sensor, and will outlast the life of the car.
