    What tools... plastic bumpers?

Tool(s) needed for removal of plastic bumpers? I found one in a junk yard, I don't own one, so I don't know what tools are necessary for removing the bumpers from an 89+ e30. Can anyone shed some light?

Also, whats the best tool to use for removing the rear valence from an 89+ e30? Sawz-All? Whatever tool I use will have to be battery powered, or manual. Thanks.

yup. mine weren't torx either, they were also allen bolts, but big ass allen at that.

But either way, it's just 2 bolts. that's all.

2 bolts on the underside of the bumper. After those are undone, the bolts will slide out and you can start sliding off the bumper. Before it comes all the way off you have to undo all the electrical connections to the lights and stuff.

The bolts are either a T55 torx, or a 10mm allen.

unbolt those two bolts and slide the bumper off the car. Make sure you unplug the turn signals and sidemarkers before you yank all the wires off.

                  Done.

every bolt on teh bottom of the bumpers are T55 torx.

It just so happens that an allen will fit in there too.

doesnt the allen tend to round them off though?

yes, if you try hard enough to do so.

but otherwise, it'd be rather hard to round off such a large bolt.

the allen goes in pretty deep too.
