Ok, i seem to be thoroughly confused, the conversion switch hooks to the high cutout circuit and serves dual purpose?

Hopefully I switch out the black switch and it'll work!

If your compressor energized when you closed that circuit its either a bad switch, or not tight enough (ohm it), or you don't have enough freon. Assuming the other circuit is closed.
If im wrong someone with more experience will set it right.Last edited by cabriodster87; 05-31-2014, 01:36 PM.sigpic

How would you plug the other pair into the new switch? The connectors are different. That is what I have been trying to illustrate (and apparently not very well).
Here is another photo showing what I am working with now. From left to right we have the existing connector for the green pressure switch, the connector for the NEW "single" switch, and the remains of the connector for the stubby black switch.
Clearly you can't just plug the new switch into either of the existing connectors. That is why there is a new connector needed. And the one that everybody sells does not have the female sockets in it...its just an empty shell. Now I could just snip off both connectors and use butt splices or some other type of connector but that would be "wrong".1988 Alpineweiß 325iC

OK...so I could have made my own connector but I decided to maintain SOME level of OCD.
I sourced a pair of 2.5mm snap-in connectors from one of the local BMW dealers. Pretty surprised they had them! ECS Tuning only sells them in packs of 10...screw THAT. Anyway...these were the missing link in this whole project.
Here's a photo showing them along side the plug I had bought previously:
And another photo showing the complete assembly:
So if you want to do this "The BMW Way" you will need these parts:
1x 61131378400 (plug terminal, 2-pin)
2x 61130007442 (2.5mm snap-in socket, watertight)1988 Alpineweiß 325iC
