    Removing Steering Wheel issues.

Ok, my car is for sale and I thought I would return the old airbag wheel to the car.

So I take off the Mtech1's cap.... unbolt the 22mm screw and I turn the key to unlock the wheel. ( Battery is disconnected by the way )

So it's time for a good tug on the wheel to take it off........

    .....and it's stuck!

I mean what could I be missing?

    Thanks in advance,
    Erick

Mtech 1 wheels arent supposed to fit on the splines of Airbag cars easily. Ask TJ how many times he tried.

Maybe in your zeal to install the mtech 1 wheel you overtightened it and "crimped" it to the steering column.

Good luck, other than that, recline your seat, and start yanking on the wheel.

odd, I believe there is a tool for this job, its called a puller. I don't know about BMW steering wheels but of all the s/wheels I have ever removed required a puller. If you have air tools a good rap with a air hammer works as well.

Don' know if this applies to your wheel, but on mine the key had to be on with the steering unlocked for it to be removed.

                      Same for mine.
The steering lock holds the steering wheel fastened :)

He has to highlight my grammar mistakes :P

I'll give it a second try later on, I just put everything back on for now and I'm still driving with the Mtec1 wheel. If I have some spare time later on today I'll go for the 2nd round
