    M42 Upper Manifold Removal

I will be having to remove the intake manifold on my M42 to access a water line that needs to be replaced. Aside from replacing all pertaining gakets, what do I need to be aware of as this will be the first time I will be removing it. Any pointers? TIA.

unless you have little girl hands it is quite impossible to reach the hose's under the manifold. If I ever need to remove my manifold again I'm going to plug them.

The TB is something magical to get off. You're going to have fun with that.

It's not that hard. You just have to angle it just right to get it around the hose fittings out of that heater plate.

Successfully removed the TB and manifold and now have a couple questions before I proceed.

-One of the stud bolts that holds the Manifold in place came undone. Should I take any extra precautions? As for tightening all the nuts, do they need to be torqued to a certain spec?

-Would you guys recommend I clean the manifold and throttle body? If so, what should I use?

remove the 2 TB heater elements and hoses as they rob power and the hoses are a pita to replace. Unless you live in an area that gets to -20

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's just weird to find that angel the first time. I spent about 20 minutes just playing around with it. I'd get it to a point where I'd think it'd pull off, but then it'd fall back. It's not hard, but trickier than I thought.
