If you have springs but are not sure what they are, you can always check the 5-digit part number on the spring with the website.
    So as mine.

It almost seems random...I've seen 325iX H&R Sports where one end was light blue and the other was more of a royal blue. Or one end was grey.

Either way, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say you can't go by color. Go by part number.

I guess I have the odd ball springs. I've got H&R sports for a 318is and they're dark blue/ purpulish color. Judging by how many different colors I've seen I don't think color means much. Like was said before the part number is what really matters. But what do I know anyway? :)

Yeah, I'll have to check them when I get home... I'm kinda living 5 hours from home, so its kinda hard to see the part# from soo far away :P

I shall check, I'm almost 100% sure now they are sports... but we will see.

              Thanks.. Mitch
