Measuring at floor level the well in the 87 sedan with rear battery is 9.25". The 84 318i well with the front battery is 7.5. The Cabrio has the trunk liner in place so I cant get a comparable dimension.

87 vert has 8" almost exactly floor level from the left lip to the vent.

Well when i do a shave bay I will be relocating the battery into the trunk and cutting out the front tray. I dont plan on having a splitter or terminal there eitherComment
