Inspection light and mpg gauge weirdness

So recently I had a new clutch kit installed and ever since my car has been throwing an inspection light and now the mpg gauge moves WAY quicker and seems like its based just on the the engine rpm when before it seemed like a combination of rpm and transmission info which seemed somewhat accurate. If that makes sense. So the only thing im thibking could have caused this would be that the battery died from my car sitting for around a month. Any ideas ?? Its just annoying because I actually liked watching the mpg gauge slowly move to zero when speeding up rather than just flying to it. Thanks !!!

SI batteries are probably toast. does the tach still work?

Si batteries ate somewhat new and yeah teach works fine.
