Alright, so I have a 1990 325is and I'm having a strange issue. The passenger side marker light is out, when I have the lights on without the turn signals on the light is out, as well as when I have just the marker lights on, but as soon as I turn on the passenger side turn signal everything works normally. No matter what the turn signal flashes normally in all 3 lever positions but as soon as I turn the turn signal off whether it be all lights off, just marker lights, or headlights on it stops working. The rest of the lights work like they should. Is there Two channels for this bulb? One for the light blinking and one for it staying on as a marker and perhaps the one channel is bad? Did a little searching and couldn't find anything. Could probably take some pictures if necessary. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it's a dual filament bulb and one of the filaments is probably burnt out."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

I had a similar problem. I replaced the relay under the steering column and the problem went away.Comment

No need to close a thread, the purpose is to find the solution and share with others that may have it....so did you just replace the bulb?
