hey R3v fam,
so i picked up my first e30 about 2 months back. very clean, well kept, and 88k original miles on the dash. when i picked up the car i noticed i could smell gas when i turned on the car. it would fade away after driving for a few mins.
i looked in the engine bay and saw that the injector closest to the firewall was leaking. most likely the seals were going/already bad.
so i picked up some m50 green top injectors, just a small upgrade over stock. better spray, and atomization. good stuff.
before i swapped them out, i had driven the car to work, and just drove back home. car ran great as always. i parked the car, chatted with the neighbor and checked the mail. i then hopped back into my e30 and tried to start it. it turned over but ran like shit. like struggling to stay on. my first though was...well that injector has just shit on me.
that gave me the excuse to swap out with the new ones.
im also going to check the vac lines and make sure those are good to go.
just wanted to ask the older e30 heads if you would have me check anything else. im new to this platform but not to working on cars. sometimes there is that something different from car to car that will make things difficult for you. just thought i would ask. if you have any other suggestions, do post them and ill add that to my small list of things to look over concerning the problem.
thanks!
