Well, twist of events. I realized today at the yard I tested the harness on my car, not the sensor. So I grabbed a good sensor at the yard and come home and retested the resistance of the CPS and it tests within limits... So I don't think that's the problem.

So, no I have no clue what the problem is. I guess I'll try a new distributor for giggles :(

Yea. When I thought it was mine for the m30 I priced mine at around 100 or something. To much to pay for something that may not be the problem

Yeah... I stop by the parts store. $80 I'm going to see if I can snag some from the yard that test okay.

Exactly used relays from the headlight high beams that I could test and make sure were working.

That is most likely the correct assumption, if that doesn't work, check the ground for the CPS

Well, I'm not getting spark signal to the distributor. I found the test in the Bentley for the crank position sensor and it seems the resistance isn't right for the sensor, so I'm going to find a new one of those.

Lol yea you could. That'd be the smart thing to do.

What I did was stuck a metal rod in the plug and waited until I took 12v to the dome haha. Once I got the 12v I knew it something in the distributor
I'm thinking maybe instead of using my brain as a test light I could use a test light. I bet I could get the test light to sit in there and crank it over in the dark garage, that would verify that I'm getting some power out the coil.
