    1987 325i ecu which can i use ?

    My ECU might be bad, but im also not sure if the ecu I have is right one that's on there now.

    what ECU is the # is the stock one ? It currently has 200 260 163

    or maybe let me know if another # is compatible as well ?

    Sure you don't have a "153" or a "173" part number?

      Stock for 87 is 153. You can use any DME from any 325i 87-91. I have a later Motronic 1.3 380 unit for $50 shipped if interested.

        The 163 is the stock unit for the 320i if I remember correctly. I think it's a bit less aggressive tune than the 2.5-liter chips. OP, assuming your car is a US-market car, you can use pretty much any ECU from a 2.5 liter car. 153, 173, 351, 380, 382, 451, 452...I may have missed a couple. Basically anything from Motronic 1.1 or 1.3. Avoid labels starting in zero, e.g. 053, 081; those are Motronic 1.0 and will not work.

          thank you. I might be interested. is it I n good working order ? also, were are you in LA ? might pickup instead, any cheaper if pickup and pay cash ?
