    Stuck Steering Wheel?

So I had my steering wheel off trying to fix my horn issue, and now it's locked and can't be removed.

I accidentally put the hub back on without replacing one of the spacers on the steering column. After tightening the nut down, I can only turn the wheel 90 degrees before it gets stopped. I took the nut back off and now it's still stuck on the column, I haven't been able to pull it off and gave it a pretty good tug.

Any ideas here? This happens whether the car is off, keys in, or on

I'm supposed to be taking the car to the body shop tomorrow so I need to get this situation fixed ASAP

you need some help , put the nut back on till its flush with end of shaft and while you pull like hell have help smack center end of steering shaft with a brass drift and big hammer ,hopefully it will pop loose and nut will stop you from hitting yourself in face with wheel . if this doesnt work you might have to use/rent a puller to remove wheel from shaft

Yup, just manning up and yanking the shit out of it worked. Gummed up the splines a little bit but not too bad. Got the spacer back on and all was fine

ALWAYS put the nut back on just a bit before yanking on it. Otherwise you will end up hitting yourself in the face with the wheel when it finally pops off. lol
