    Thermostat- Fully open?

Hey I'm diagnosing my car's overheating problem and It opens but is this fully open? Got it up to 92 degrees C. Thanks!

In my experience they open or they don't. So, you can just put them in boiling water, 212* F is fine. You'll see if it opens or not.

Really there is no reason to not just change it if you're concerned, they are around $7.

Even if you find one for 20 bucks, you should go ahead and replace it and its gasket while you have the thing apart. One of those preventative maintenance things.

That looks like a working thermostat to me. I would TEST any new thermostat
before I installed it, just 'cause I've had bad ones new outa the box.
