I bought a 318is awhile back with a blown engine and I'm trying to get it running. I swapped the engine out and now I'm not getting any fuel, so I craweled under the car and noticed that it does not have the typical fuel pump next to the filter, all it has is a metal ring where the pump normal is and no wires indicating that there used to be a pump there. Does the intake pump supply all the pressure or is there a pump I don't know about? I guess I'll have to add a pump to support the m50.
How does the 318is get fuel!

As I understand it from my BMW mechanic, these pumps (in tank) have a tendency to go bad after sitting for a while unused (he says over a period of weeks to months, depending on the condition it was in when "parked". I'd start there.Originally posted by 02stuI bought a 318is awhile back with a blown engine and I'm trying to get it running.
