    325i tach in my 325e

I need some help. I recently got a 1985 325e that has a cluster from a 325i, and tach isn't reading the true rpms. I remember reading that there is something you have to do for an i tach to read accurately in an e car, but I can't remember what that was.

    Thanks for the help.

You need the coded chip from an 86-87 ETA cluster.
