1991 Cabrio - Instrument Cluster Illumination

All of the dash lights work The instrument cluster gauges work. I tested the individual bulbs, and they test good. However the when I install the cluster back in the dash, the dash illumination does not work. Does this sound like a problem anyone else has experienced?

Hey Gregs - yes I checked the fuses, all good. Removed the instrument cluster and tested the bulbs, again. Tested good. Sprayed a little contact cleaner on the socket and the mounting clips, seems to work now. I am guessing (hoping) it was just a poor contact and not the early stages of an intermittent failure...

By the way - the starter and grounding wires work perfectly. See one of my other posts about a hot starter and ground wire...you will get a kick out of it...
