New Starter: New Problems

After hitting a brick wall I have come to ask you guys for help. I have a 1990 325i convertible and I recently replaced my starter. After buttoning everything up I noticed that my windows do not work and my ac blower does not work as well. I checked all the fuses and relays (k5 and k7) the only thing i can boil it down to is the unloader control wire (black with green stripe) on my newly installed starter. The PO just had the wire wrapped around the post on the old solenoid, I know that there is a brass u- shaped terminal so i just crimped on a new one from the parts store. I noticed that the bolt in which the wire goes onto has a little play in it is that normal? could that be the reason why I'm having this problem?

There are 3 terminal and 4 terminal solenoids. Make sure you use the right one for your car. The solenoids can be swapped over from starter to starter. Also make sure you make the right connections.

yeah I compared the new starter to the old one all the terminals are the same and i marked which wires go where.

There shouldn't be any play on the terminals. Perhaps you have a defective solenoid? Double check the connections and make sure you don't break any of the wiring by torquing the nut down without holding on to the wire terminal to keep it from spinning.

Ok so i tighten down the terminal that had some play in it and everything works now thanks!
