Window Switches - Do they all light up?

I feel dumb asking this question. A few weeks ago, someone gave me an '85 325e coupe. Both window switches need to be replaced. But looking at my ordering options for switches I see some light up and some don't.

Right now mine do not light up. If I order some that do light up, will they magically light up? It seems too easy.

Yes....86-on came lighted. They are direct replacements.
