Fuel pump relay works sometimes and other times it does not

Dies this mean my relay is bad or is it something else causing sorry for the noobie questions just trying to learn

With the ignition set to ON, if you jump the relay at pin 87 and 30 in the relay connector (check the bottom of the relay for pin numbers), does the fuel pump turn on?

Check for voltage going into the relay connector as well

Get a bentley if you don't have one! I will post up a couple of the tests you should do later when I check which pins to tap into.

My old relay was giving me significant fuel issues(car shutting off basically), luckily the relay itself isn't expensive to replace. (~$15)
