    What's causing this bolt to keep getting loose?

    Tightened it earlier this morning. After roughly an hour of slightly aggressive driving, it started to loosen again. Here's a picture of it from this morning when I had to tighten it.

    That appears to be the lower shock bolt. Is it a solid bushing for the lower mount?
    I would make sure the threads are clean, the inside bore of the shock mount is the proper fit to the bolt shoulder, and ensure it is being tightened to spec.
    Check and make sure it hasn't been over tightened, stripping the threads off of the bolt, or out of the boss on the control arm.
    Is the other side staying snug, or is it loosening up as well?

        Assuming the threads are fine, a bit of medium strength loctite will keep it in place, but allow removal later.

          Since it is loosening past just the point where it would be loose, I would also grease the bolt just on the shank. The original rubber bushings would twist slightly when the trailing arm comes up and down. Personally, I would get a slightly longer bolt, not tighten up on the shock and then put a nut on the back to keep the bolt from spinning. You could also try putting a washer between the shock and trailing arm. On the other side, if the bushing isn't spinning in the housing, there is a huge amount of torque being put on the shock when you hit a big bump. Sorry for the huge reply lol.

            That was my first thought- that the bolt is being asked to act like a rod end, and it can't.
