    O2 Splice

Purchased a 4 pin O2 from a forum member and it was the wrong 4 pin: http://i.imgur.com/cWzDEX7.jpg . I'm hoping someone can assist me in the proper pin-out so that I can splice the engine harness to the O2. The O2 plug on my harness (87 325i) looks like this.
    Thanks for looking.

    No, but a meter can-

the heater will have low resistance (10 ohms or something)
and the sensor itself will look like it's open.

So connect the 2 pins that have low resistance across them to the car's heater
circuit, the remaining 2 to the sensor circuit, and it'll work.

If you cut the old sensor wires on the sensor side of the plug, you might even find they're color coded correctly...

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves
