    Diff Removal

    hey guys, i need to know what size allen i use to get the Diff off of the halfshafts. They look effin huge but i have no idea what size i need to buy. And are there any tricks to removal?

    I think its a 8mm but double check. Try to aviod ripping the boot on the halfshafts by rotating them toward the back as you go. Other than that its pretty straight forward.

        Impact gun is helpful - as long as you clean the dirt from the heads!

          Impact gun makes those super easy. Stick the allen in the hole, hammer it in to make sure it wont strip, then hit it with an impact. Rotate. Repeat.

            I'll be the 5th to not answer your question, but you should buy a set of allen wrenches anyway. They're handy.

              Hey, check out my writeup/pics!



              The four big bolts that attach the diff to the subframe are 19mm. Nuts that attach the diff to the drive shaft are 16mm. Not sure about the hex bolts, since I had a set that wasn't numbered.
