    trunk area reapir

    hey
might be a very dumb question
my car was involved in a rear end accident and the previous owner did not do that great of a job repairing it.
can i cut out the the red line that is in the attachment and weld in a new one?
or that will sacrifice the rigidity of the car?
(the attachment is not my car)
    Thanks in advance

Yes, you can bmw sells that entire back panel for the car but like aegul44 said it'd take an experienced person to do it right.

Everything behind the rear subframe mounts and spring perches
is non- structural, so have at it.

But it IS a case of measure 3 times, brace, tack- weld, re- measure, weld some more,
measure some more, and so on...
