    Water leak issues

Would clogged fender/rocker drains cause water to back up into the driver/passenger foot wells?

I took out the carpet and poured water all over the front end and couldn't find any intrusion. The sunroof drains were connected and unclogged.

I did find that the rocker and fender drain holes were packed full of shit though because I didn't have fender liners mounted. Could that have caused my footwells to be soaking wet during heavy rain?

They might be separate leaks. How's your elephant trunk drain?

Just went through the same issue. With the carpet out of the car and speakers removed I found a blockage in the drivers sunroof drain. I blew out the drain with compressed air, and a bunch of water among other things came rushing out on the drivers side. No luck on the passenger side though. Started pouring water over the car to replicate the issue. Sourced it to be coming from a pin hole in the back corner of the engine bay where the battery would normally sit. That and the hole where the AC lines use to run was also draining into the cabin. Another thing I noticed that only seems to happen in late fall and early spring is when the snow melts during the day and freezes over night causes the drains to freeze and then the water leaks through the sunroof. Hope that helps. I also had issue with leaks in the trunk too but that's a whole other story.
