The pressure has more to do with the position of the tube. Once it's in the correct position it's easy to move around.

If it's stuck on the car I would not cut it with a Dremel because you risk getting metal shavings inside the crankcase. I would try to bend it in the middle a little to make it give way from the angle then cut out the bent middle part.

Regardless a replacement tube isn't that expensive if the hose replacement idea doesn't work out, though I'm willing back my idea 100%.

Taking a break always helps. If you decide to slightly bend it use a hammer or a mini sledge hammer to dent in one spot of the middle to do it. Don;t get to crazy with it though.

I had one once that I couldnt get. I have to back ritalin...I cut it with a smallish craftsman exhaust pipe cutter. When i couldnt get a replacement pipe in time, I bought some heavy duty gates heater hose and put a piece over it and clamped it. Its on the car to this day. AS long as there are no vacuum leaks, its serves its purpose.

heh that's exactly what Ritalin_KID suggested, but we didnt want any metal shavings inside the crankcase = slow and painfull engine death. I gotta work today so i guess i wont do any work till mon-tus!

Not to be a total noob or anything, but is this something that happens every time you take the intake manifold off? I was thinking about painting the manifold, and redoing the gasket while I had it off... Pictures of this in the car would really help, I guess.....

You can cut it BUT I would immediately pour some oil down the bottom tube to flush any small shavings and then change the oil.

A better method to avoid the shavings is to weaken the tube without cutting all the way through it and then wacking it with a hammer to bend it at the seem. This keeps the shavings on the outside of the tube.

I yanked down hard on it from the drivers side, and it got shoved into the bottom hole to the point it got stuck in there, so I left it. When I was ready to reinstall the mani, I just pulled up on the tube and all went well.

                      oh...how i envy you.

i was able to it all back together. i notice none of the mid/front gaskets ripped and was able to change the leaky one (6cyl). The car runs like a charm now. BUT i want to take it off to paint the intake mani now.

I'm end up cutting the tube in a few houndred miles when i gotta change my oil again

                      u guys kik ass! ty
