I have a 1988 325 (non I) with the 2.7 motor witch I think is the eta motor (please correct me if im wrong) but what I wanted to know is I can put an I/IS head on it. If i can what other things do I have to have to do or have and does it matter if its from a m20b27 of m20b25. Im juss stepping foot in the car game so any helo would be appreciated. Or if someone can direct me to a thread that would kick ass spanx alot

Your 88 325, is refered to as the super eta. It already has an I head casting on it, but has single valve springs, and not as hot a camshaft. It uses a 2.7 crank with special pistons. So the hot ticket is to put 325i dual valve springs and camshaft in your head and enjoy the power.85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

i'm doing same thing i have a 1988 325e came with 885 head.I got a 325i head with double valve springs since my head needs small spot welded.I also got the 325i manifold, throttle body, ecu on the way.the kid sold me the head told me the 325i timing pully is different than 325e pully and needs to be changed?
i never herd this.he said also the manifold i have is same as the 325i since it comes with the 885 head and fits to it.I thought i read the 325i manifold is larger than super e one.he also mentioned make sure i get red labeled ecu?
