    Water in diagnostics port

    Hello
I left my hood open and the diagnostics port was somehow open too and water got into it, is that a bad thing?
I borrowed my friend obd2 scanner and i had an adapter (pacman 20 pin) and it powered and everything but said can't connect to vehicle, could that be cause of water or the scanner can't read the car? (i know very vague but did someone experience that with an adapter or ever use the adapter)

    Thanks

Or maybe it can't connect to the car because e30s are OBD1, not OBD2.

Kershaw may be correct as a small amount of water does not often cause chunky electrics like the diagnostic port to simply not work.

You might try finding one of those Peake code readers, or perhaps the good old stomp test.
