inline fuel pump question

I have a 87' 325e, and Im replacing the fuel pump with a walbro but that old pump doesnt have positive and negative cables labeled. Just two different size terminals. I pulled back the wires a little bit and saw that the small size terminal is green and violet and the larger one is red. Generally the rule of thumb is green or black is the ground and red is postive but I just want to make sure before i put the new pump in and its backwards.
