Vdo Oil pressure sender install question

I'm installing an oil pressure sender and gauge using the rally road adapter block on an s52. Problem is the sender does not thread all the way in to the adapter.. Is this going to leak when I fill with oil and start the car? Anyone else installed one this way.. Here is a pic. I put some blue thread lock on thinking that might deal better.

I think it is an 1/8-27 NPT You will want to check on the VDO site as to the thread size. You may also have mismatched threads on the adapter and sender (ie. adapter is M10 but sender is 1/8-27). It looks to me that it should thread in more. But if its correct and it is a tapered pipe thread you could tap the adapter a little deeper.

Both are 1/8" NPT 27. I guess it shouldn't leak cause of the tapered thread design.. I just wanted a 2nd opinion, I will add some PTFE sealant for good measure.
