    89 TO 87 engine

    Ok so I bought a shell that had an M50 that came with it well pressed for time and new to the m50 swap I decided to go back with the m20 for now. Got an m20 out of a 87 vert with the harness found out that the 87 harness will not go with the 89 body harness tried the 89 harness and now it will not go above 2500 rpms and struggles to get there. I've tried a tps sensor injectors fuel filter new plugs wires including impulse cable cap rotor button checked timing and still no change. Starting to believe an afm issue or wiring issue some where. Any pointers it's starting to get annoying.

      87 325i out of the vert the engine ran in the convertible but spits and sputters in my 89325is
