Cleaning AC lines - 24v swap

I'm installing AC in my 24v swap car. I got some lines from another member here (thanks flyboy!) with the correct ends for a s52 compressor.

These things (including the interior lines on my car) have been sitting for probably 5 years or so with open ends exposed to atmosphere. My question is, what have others done to clean/descale these old lines before filling the system? I don't want a bunch of rust scale destroying my compressor.

Also, I currently have all the lines out of the car and I blew them out with air. The one line from the evaporator to the firewall was clogged, couldn't get any air through it, is this normal? Is there an orifice or some sort of check valve in the line somewhere?

I am considering just taking them to an ac shop and having them tested and cleaned. Any help is appreciated.

A clogged line is not normal and if there is scale in them you probably should replace them
