    Play in sunroof/sunroof loose

    Hey all,

Been searching for a while now, using all the descriptions I can think of but not really coming up with anything. I have a 91 325i coupe and the sunroof is, for lack of a better word, loose. By that I mean if you push on the sunroof, hit a bump, close a door or it's just really windy, the back side of the sunroof will lift up. It isn't held tightly closed.

Any ideas before I try and tear into it?

    Thanks

Is it working? If not I'd suspect that the end of the cable, which is plastic, has broken.

Mine also will jump the tiniest bit in the back when i close the door quick and mine functions perfectly too. Never noticed it any other time though and its never leaked so i never really thought of it. guess it isnt normal then huh? hahah

Mine does that too. The tabs are rusted off. I think it's only held on by hopes and dreams at this point.

Wouldn't bother me so much except it leaks a small amount when it does it. Doesn't leak otherwise.

Have to check the drains too to make sure it's all getting away. Haven't bothered because the small leak coincides when I hit a bump haha.
