    9005 H.I.D. lamps - In a 88' 320i?

    Hi Guys,

    I was considering of putting H.I.D lamps in my 88' 320i.
    Would the 9005 H.I.D. lamps (h3) be a good choice?
    The are 10K bright white

    Before getting them, I just wanted to know if there were any incompatibilities or anything?

    Like these -> http://cnlight-hid.en.alibaba.com/pr..._HID_Lamp.html

    Thanks

    Hey, where are you located?

    I ask b/c if yer not in North America, you prolly aren't running 9005 lamps as OEM.

    The HID kits have (more or less) the same bulb fitted to different bases so that they can fit different applications. If you are running H1 bulbs now, just get an HID kit with an H1 base. There is no difference in light output (the bulb is the same, the base is different).

    Also, the 9005 lamp is generally used for your high beams.

          anything over 6000k is a hunk of junk garbage RICER HID. it puts out poor light, probably has poor materials.

          you want Hella/Philips/Valeo HID products. most are 4000-4300K.
