Cluster & HVAC died then no start

I was enjoying a leisurely drive, stereo blasting, AC on, when suddenly all my instruments except the speedo went dead and the blower stopped. No AC, tach, temp or fuel gauges are the only things I noticed.

Made a stop then it would not turn over. Gave it a slight push, bump started it and got home and that's where she sits.

Oh...fuse 10 was blown. Not sure why that would take out the AC but everything now works.

I did swap fuses 10, 12 & 21 when I did some cluster maintenance so perhaps it was just a bad fuse to start. Time will tell

I'd imagine the cluster died that caused the excitor wire to alternator broke somehow, battery is not charged. That's why you can't start after stopped.

I didn't drive long enough to discharge the battery and once i replaced the fuse it started right up so the battery was fine.

I also think the cluster causing a no charge was bypassed some time in 86
