Bad Ecu?

So I've had an issue on my 87 es every few times when I shut my car off where I get smoke that comes out of the dash. Its not a whole lot but enough to tell its coming out of the glovebox area. Doing a little research it sounds like it could be the ecu. Is there any other possibilities?If it helps any, it started after I washed my car and engine bay (95% sure I covered all the electrical connections)

Get a fire extinguisher.

If it still runs, the smoke is probably still in the ecu...

Sounds like 885 head swap time? 😀 I'd need the head and a wiring harness from an early i and what ecu? Also do I need an intake manifold from an i? Also final question, can I just change the tach on an e cluster or do I need a whole new cluster?
