Whats this part in my engine ?

When I got my car it didn't come with power steering. And the car I removed the power steering reservoir from didn't have this on there.. anyone know?

I have never seen anything like that? Is it bolted down?

Looks like the OE anti-theft horn, right up by the fusebox

        That... is a horn.

If your brake fluid reservoir happens to fall asleep on you, it goes off, scares the shit out of it, and wakes it up again...

So anti theft horn guys ? Can I remove it ? It seems to be connected to a harness unsure if it's the engine harness or not..

Yank away, just disconnect it first

That horn was part of the anti-theft alarm on early cars. On later cars they relocated it under a metal grille above the LH brake air duct, presumably to make it harder for miscreants to yank it out and silence the alarm. On later cars there is still a vestigial wire pigtail and connector for it, tucked away under the fusebox.

oh, THAT's what that wire was for... I wondered, once...
