    swapping electric sunroof to crank?

Like the title says, can it be done? If so does anyone know what parts i would need? My '87's electric roof only partially works. You have to help it along at the moment, and i can't seem to get it fully working either. I would much prefer to simply swap in the crank parts if possible. i had that on my first e30 and I loved it.

    Thanks

If I'm not mistaken it can be done. The electric motor that opens and closes the sunroof essentially does the same thing as the crank. It'll be a huge pain to change over. It would probably be easier to fix the electric sunroof. I might have parts depending on what you need.

also the crank sunroof handles suck. They always break.

if your motor or switch isn't bad then it needs adjustment most likely. Even if you switch to a crank sunroof, it would still need that. if it's just a motor or switch, that's an easy fix. the motors rarely go bad so I'd start with the switch.
