    13 button Obc disassembly

I'm just curious if anyone has ever successfully disassembled and replaced the lcd screen on a 13 button obc. I've read mixed reviews saying it's impossible and some saying it can be done. I have a euro analog clock on the way as a replacement so I'm just looking to fix the obc and sell it maybe.

Half of the screen is bleeding because it got cracked a while back. I got the backing cover off exposing the circuit boards, but kinda stuck from here on out on how to get the face cover off without breaking some connections on the circuits. The 2 screws left to take it off properly are inaccessible.

    Any info will help!
    Thanks

I've tried messing around with OBC a few times. To take it apart will require serious desoldering equipment and ability because there is a huge matrix of pins that must be desoldered.

I ended up quiting because it would take me too long. We do not refurbish these because of the time it takes to disassemble, it would cost customer too much in labor and it would be cheaper and easier to find a good replacement. HOwever, we can replace the light bar with a LED version, thats about it.

I'm interested about this as well. I can desolder/disassemble the OBC, but do you know of a source for a replacement screen? I don't believe the ink in the lcd can be replaced...

I've kinda given up on this topic simply because I can't find a source for replacement screens. The obc seems like a very uncommon piece to take apart and fix so from what I've found there's very few replacement parts for it.
