No Horn or turn signal cancel with new wheel

Pulled a sport wheel from an 89 and installed in my airbag removed 90. I also installed the spacer from the 89. Works fine but turn signals do not cancel and Horn dies not work. Tried no spacer, and just a thick washer and still n same result. Also Horn has two wires, brown and black. Which is for center plug and which for side plug. Tried both ways no Horn

maybe you broke the cancel plastic deal when removing or installing?

when you touch those wires together, does the horn work? I thought there was only one horn wire, is why I ask?

and thinking about it, I didn't even pull a wire for a horn when I pulled my wheel two or three weeks ago

sounds like you're not making contact with the center ring. Along with that, if you're not contacting it then the canceling tab isn't close enough to cancel the turn signal either.

this is the contact ring. there is a contact sprung on your column that touches that ring. the protruding tab is the canceler.

When I reinstalled with no spacers at all, I got everything to work.

You installed the spacers on the wrong side.

Car had one spacer there when I started. I presume you mean put the spacer after the wheel.

correct. it's actually not a spacer, it is a washer.

                    Stock Washer or more??

The stock thin washer or a second or larger washer? IO used the thin wahser that was already below the nut.
