    1984 318i Distributor

We're building a Lemon's car: 1984 318i. We inherited this E30 with a Megasquirt system installed which quickly crapped-out on us. Since we're old guys, we want to go back with a distributor. We've already installed a Weber/Lynx "Crossfire" carb/manifold set-up.

My question is, what plugs in here:

We figure it's for general power, but the Cardone website is useless.

Those of you who have an 1984 318i, can you offer some details on what goes in this plug, please??

    Thanks in advance.

There's a harness, an ignitor/spark module, and the ecu. Not hard to recreate,
and very durable. I don't THINK the ecu needs to be used... but I could be remembering the E21.

    In before move!
