    ebrake handle goes way high

how can i adjust the ebrake so it doesnt have to pull to the last click to work. in my M coupe it holdes with like 3 clicks, not 30.

take the ebrake handle and boot off. tighten both screws holding the ebrake with a 10mm deep socket.

Does one ever have to rebuild an ebrake system?

I will try to adjust. My bros es's doesn't even grab when it is all the way up. We can feel very little friction

hhhmm well mine didnt work at all so i jacke dup the rear end and followe dthe simple instructions in a chiltons manual (i am getting a bentley soon the chiltons is all i had) you have to spin the tires and tighten a few things and it works fine now

no problem. it wasnt too hard, just took time to make sure the e-brake isnt on whenever you have it all the way down.

The shoes on the E-brake will crack and fall apart, Making the handle go way up. Ive replaced the shoes on all 4 of my E30s. It is a super PITA
Adjusting it SOMETIMES Causes the metal part of the shoe to dig into the drum

The change isn't super hard as far as the shoes go, just frustrating. That lille clip is the pita. Be patient.
