E36 Radiators

I have a late model E30 and from what I remember the E36 radiator is a bolt-in for us?

Is there any gain, especially if its an aluminum one? (Not Mishimoto)

Reason Im asking is because I have an auto transmission and will be swapping to a manual soon which I believe means my radiator needs (?) to get changed also? I dont know for sure this is a MUST, but I might do it just as a maintenance/ precaution

You don't need to change the radiator. It does have a cooler for the auto trans built into it, but once the lines are disconnected and it is drained, it won't hurt anything still being there.
