Yea you shouldn't have any problems with the 10mm spacer. Unless the hubs are not correct for an E30.

    What wheels are they?

A 10mm spacer should be fine for what you want to install but you will probably want to stick with a 205/45 or 205/50 size tire since you may run into clearance issues with anything wider. If you got 12mm spacers (H&R makes 'em) you would be at a 26mm offset for your car, and could mount 225/45s at all corners. It would be a tight fit and you would probably want to roll your fenders, but with a contact patch like that your car will have some serious grip.

Your only problem will be making sure your spacers are hub-centric. I know E30s need a 57.1mm centerbore for the wheels (or spacers). Not sure about the Jetta though. Figure that out and have the spacers made according to those centerbore sizes and you should be in good shape.

I'd get 15mm spacers.....7.5 wide, ET 28 is gay....it'll be so pulled in. The lower the offset, the better the wheels would look. I have 16x7.5 ET20. Right up against the fender.....perfect.

                ET20 looks sweet! :D

I'd say get 15mm spacers too.

i'm for 15mm too. my wheels are 7.5" wide with et25, and they barely clear the strut with 225's

nice looking wheels.....definitely get 15mm spacers, but if you can obtain 18mm that would look the best ;)
