    Power steering pump tensioner

Which nut actually adjust the tension?
    Parts 9 or 10 in http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=32_1826
    Sorry for the mundane post.

To adjust the tension loosen nut #10, turn nut #9 (that engages the teeth in bracket #6) to the proper tension. While holding nut #9 in position re-tighten nut #10. Cliff notes; #9 adjusts the tension, #10 just holds it all in place.

Thank you for this - coincidentally I tried tightening my ps pump tension the other night and couldn't figure it out. I'll have to give this a try!

For whatever reason, I always seem to struggle getting the power steering belt right.

Loosen bolt #5 (the pivot bolt) before trying to tension nut #10, otherwise you'll just strip the teeth off the tensioner #6. Re-tighten the pivot bolt once you have the correct tension set.
