    Replacing CALIPER QUESTION in FRONT???

My left front calipers sticks on/off and it may need replacement.

Do you have to replace them in pairs? Left and right? If I change the defective one only, will the new caliper pull stronger than the one working just fine? Do I need to replace pads or not necessary?

    Thanks! 8)

pads not necessary, one is fine and really it should just be rebuilt. They make a kit for that, it's fairly easy to do and cheap.

You don't have to replace them in pairs, but it's a good Idea if the other one is just as old as the bad one, because it will probably fail soon too.
If your pads are still good, you don't need to replace them.

yeah I replaced one stuck caliper only to have the other one do the same thing in a month.. you could also have them rebuilt, it's a little bit cheaper.

Just get them both rebuilt, it's cheap!!

You should do brakes in pairs, you do not want one side stronger then the other.

Just rebuild them. The caliper rebuild kits aren't all that expensive and rebuilding them is not hard at all. I did it last year because I had a sticking caliper and the problem has dissapeared.
