Rolling in the headliner **UPDATE** Probelm solved :)

There is some noise in my car, sounds like a ball rolling around. I narrowed it down to between the roof and headliner.....

Is there anyway to get there besides taking out all the glass. It's really starting to annoy me. Whenever I take a turn, there is this noise of it falling to the other side or whatnot.....

maybe there's a loose nut or something inside the sunroof area? I'd check in there for sure.. maybe drive around with your sunroof open and hope it falls into your car :P

yea if you can build a ramp....just get a lot of speed and hit the ramp with the left side of your car...with your sunroof open you should be able to barrel role back onto your wheels while at the same time freeing the loose nut or whatever.

      good luck!

Stab holes in the headliner and drive around erractically. With a little luck it should fall threw the holes, and you'll have sweet new speed holes.

heh any usefull ideas for the guy? ;)

if i knew how you remove the headliner on the sunroof i'd tell you how... but i don't.... so all i can suggest is open the sunroof UP, get a mirror & a flashlight & start lookin around

E30Godz you re really spot on ! Heheh-really funny to visualise this in your mind...
Anyway,I had the same problem with my mother's car.She forgot a FUCKIN pen on the dash,so when I started driving the car,the pen fell between the windscreen and the dash (there is a very narrow gap for the air con).I was turning and hearing the pen rolling from the one side to the other, making a pop as it hit the end.It drove me nuts but i managed to get it out with some wire...
              Anyway,Good luck man.

slide the sunroof back halfway and pull down on the front lip of the cloth panel underside of the sunroof. Like 6 metal clips will pop loose. Then slide he panel al lthe way back and slide the sunroof foward and to the vent position. There are 6 torx bolts on the inside of the panel that hold it to the rails. Undo those and pull off the panel. Once the metal panel is off you can slide the cloth panel all the way foward, unclip it from the rain drain and take it out. Then wiggle the rain drain thingy back and forth at the very end and you should be able to get it out, its just barely on there. Then just look back in the roof with a flashlight, maybe invest in a long stick with a magnet on the end, or some chewed gum. :D

I took nando's advice and drove around a couple days with the sunroof popped up.
Was slowing for a stop sign yesterday, and this little piece fell out. I was happy as fuck.

that is one of the 6 bolts that hold the sunroof panel to the tracks.

Pop the sunroof headliner off, and bolt that back in. Make sure the others are tight as well.

                            Hahaha.. no.

I've just had every single last nut, bolt, fastener, wire etc etc off my car, and all put back on, so I know all of it by heart.
