dont know what kind of motor you have but if its a m20 its driven by the timing belt. if its a m5x/s5x its driven by timing chain.

How do you know it not getting “power”? It primes as your motor turns over.

It’s dark out but it’s getting no power and it’s a stock pump

If it’s sticking out of the oil pan. That is the oil level sensor. If the “oil” light is light up in the check panel, it means your oil level is low or it’s defective and it has switched on. If your oil image lights up in the dash, then yes you have no oil pressure inside the motor.

Do you have a light? Flash on your phone? There's no electrical connector on the oil pump and it's an internal component.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

First thing is check the fuses. Look at them real good, one of my blow fuel pump fuse had the center wire intact but the wire had melted off the electrode on the side. Next is probably the fuel pump relay in the engine bay.

Fuse #11, fuel pump relay should be on the left shock tower. It’s three relays, the center one is the fuel pump relay. If you google it it’ll pop up.
