As I pulled into my driveway yesterday and put the car in park, the "Brake Lining" light came on and the car started making a very loud screech. As I shifted through the gears, the screech would go away in reverse or drive, but would return whenever in neutral or park. I turned it off and back on and it was still there. Can anyone help me diagnose what is going on?

Car moving or not? Leave car in nueatral get out and listen for the sound?Comment

I believe the brake lining light is unrelated. You put a load on the engine with your slushbox when you shift into Reverse and Drive, rpms drop off. In Park and Neutral it spins up. I say check your power steering belt.Comment
