    Engine Casting number

    I've come across a crate 0 mile M20 engine, casting number 126 4165 090 88, can anyone tell me what engine it is?

    FYI most the m20 blocks are identical, except for the 323i and 325ix.
    there are a few differences year to year in featurs. but they all interchange
    85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

      What I was looking for is a difference between a 2.0/2.3 and the 2.5 engine, that is not specified in the topic, also I'm in some hurry.

        Bore size, the 2.3 blocks also don't have the little coolant vent holes between cylinders that go to the head.
        85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

          The block was closed, so I bought it, now time to find out...
